Our Story

Our Name

Our school name is adapted from a Bible verse found in Numbers 13:23-24. Eshkol Valley is the prime land filled with giant clusters of grapes, pomegranates and figs. It is the land of abundance. This symbolises God’s faithfulness and is the gateway to the Promised Land.

We decided to send her to Eshkol Valley Preschool at Gospel Light as it was near our place and we do not regret it. She is very fond of Teacher Audrey and has started to open up. Shiloh enjoys going to Eshkol Valley Preschool. We sent her at the tender age of seventeen months, and we have never turned back since. It was also the year the school opened its Gospel Light branch. Eshkol Valley has been an integral part of Shiloh’s growth, and it aligns with the values we want to instil in her. The highlight of Eshkol Valley Preschool is its teachers and staff. The principal and teachers are friendly, kind and approachable. They focus on the holistic growth of every child and respond to their needs with the utmost care. To tell the truth, as Shiloh is preparing to head for Primary school, we are looking at every new institution with the standard that Eshkol Valley has set.

Eshkol Valley has definitely lived up to their belief of great character development and learning-through-play education for the preschool children. The teachers have fostered our daughter’s love for learning and we are always impressed with the amount of thought, time and energy put into the teaching. In fact, we are learning new fun facts from our daughter from time to time! Besides providing a positive learning environment, the nutritious food is also carefully curated with menu covering a variety of choice for our picky little eater. To the wonderful teachers and principal of Eshkol Valley Preschool… It is with a grateful heart that I am writing this testimonial to Eshkol Valley Preschool located at Gospel Light Church (Punggol). My son, Isaiah, has been with the school for close to ten months now and I have nothing but good things to say about the school. Initially, I was sceptical on putting Isaiah in a childcare centre after hearing some horror stories. Thinking back, it was also the best decision I have made because the teachers are patient, nurturing and encouraging. Isaiah managed to settle in within the first few days and has since improved tremendously in his speech, which was one of my greatest concern when I enrolled him. The teachers and principal are very responsible and respond fast when there is any issue raised. Another plus point is the centre’s environment. It is very safe and conducive for learn and play. The class size is small allowing the teacher to better manage the emotions and well-being of the children. I was quite surprised to see the teachers from other levels also knew my son’s name. The loving atmosphere and great teachers make my son enjoys going to school. It is my greatest comfort knowing that he is in good hands while I am working. Thank you so much, teachers.

We are thankful to have found a place at Eshkol Valley Preschool at Gospel Light which our son started at 18 months old. Over the next six months that he spent there, we really saw him blossom and grow tremendously, particularly in his social and language skills. He attended full day playgroup and had the most amazing, loving teachers who took every effort to connect well with him on a personal level. At home, he would share with me about his teachers and school aunties- I appreciate that he felt truly loved and well-cared for. One of the best perks was the very small class size which allowed for each child to get lots of individual attention. We would like to say a big thank you for all the efforts in grooming our children. We have seen great improvements not only academic-wise, but are also amazed by the general knowledge that the school has been sharing with them. There were times when we learnt something new through our daily sharing moments. The teachers also focus on behavioural characteristics, discipline and values such as being independent, respecting others, self-control and taking responsibility, which we definitely observed from our children. We appreciate the variety of activities that the school provides such as Cookery, Art and Music, igniting their interests in these areas. I chanced upon Eshkol Valley Preschool when I drove past Gospel Light Church. I am very thankful as my children have enjoyable and positive learning experiences since day one. You have been doing such a great job of keeping activities consistent and coordinating schedules every week. Harel loves to go for class and misses all the teachers who have taught him last year. The full day programme provides him with the self esteem, social skills, manners, and academic knowledge he needs. To All Mommies and Daddies out there exploring and considering Eshkol Valley Northstar as their 2nd Home for your children, It’s with great joy and honor for us, to share and recommend you Eshkol Valley. We started our journey with them In December 2014, while our girl Jessie was 23 months old and continued with our son, Jason in March 2017 while he is 3 years old all the way to this year 2020, when our son will be graduating soon. Time flies, it’s been 6 amazing, wonderful and fantastic years of journey for our kids and for us as parents, to work closely and together with Eshkol Valley to raise our kids. The management of Eshkol Valley @ Northstar (Mr. Vincent and Ms. Ruth), the principal, Ms. Stefanie, each of their teachers (Teacher Ashley, Hao Laoshi, Jiang Laoshi, Teacher Alison, Huang Laoshi, Teacher Eunice, Teacher Hannah, Teacher Alice, Teacher Patricia, Teacher June), and the aunties (Auntie Anna, Auntie Serene), has been our 2nd family that helped us to raise and educate our young kids. They not only care about academics but also at the same time, care about their Character Development, which for us is really important. They have been loving dearly, supportive and always go beyond expectations to help us. Their genuine care is trustworthy and gives us peace of mind while both of us work full-time. It has been close to one and a half year since my son joined Eskhol Valley Sengkang and am proud to say that EVS is a family to us. From the day he joined, we have seen him grew confidently and way beyond our expectations for a child whom have never socialised before under the care by his grand-aunt 24/5 week. As with many new parents in a semi matured estate, it was difficult to secure a placing in govt related pre-school in Sengkang. when we were first introduced to EVS through a friend , all we knew was it being a private pre-school in a close to 8 years estate.. Honestly we were quite skeptical initially when we first arrived at the centre for centre visit as it was nowhere comparable to those mega centres external look. However, we saw nothing but a place that is kept very clean, neat and cosy and more importantly the positive energy the moment we stepped in. It was even more encouraging after our decision to join ESV family and our son's first visit for uniform fitting (He was quite traumatised and we were not so comfortable with a previous trial session at another school). Fast forward.. ..All in all the bond we have till date was sweet and i believe nothing will change even after his sister (Yes! We are sending Mei Mei to the family as well in Q3 2020) graduates from K2. A special thanks to all the staff (including Teacher Sarah whom departed for further studies) whom have guided my son from the day he joined the family.. Especially Principal Weiting if not for her I think he would be traumatised before even stepping in ESV.

Our 3 year-old son Jayden is currently attending Eskhol Valley Preschool in Sengkang branch. It has been a year and he really loves to go to this preschool. Throughout this learning journey, he used to be very timid and quiet but now we can see some improvement. During our first visit to the preschool, we noticed that the children were calm and well behaved, and the classrooms were neat and clean. We like the fact that the teacher-student ratio is not high, thus the teachers are able to pay individual attention to each student. Jayden likes the teachers, assistants & principal very much because they are patient, caring and attentive, even though he can be difficult to handle sometimes. The teachers are friendly and they take their time to explain thoroughly to me how my son perform in school. We are glad he is in good hands in Eskhol Valley.

Eshkol Valley Preschool wasn't the nearest school for us, but the decision to choose this centre was an easy one. The very first time we visited the school, we felt warm homely vibes and knew that it was the school for our boys. Indeed, my first son took only a few days to adapt with the guidance of the caring teachers. My husband and I agree that the teachers are the essence of the school – they truly care of the children’s wellbeing. The teachers plan their lessons well, and also regularly organise fun activities which my son will come back home and talk about. We also appreciate that communication with the teachers is open and forthcoming. During the circuit breaker, the teachers continued to engage the children with storybook reading and songs and dance. The dedication is heartening. This is why my son looks forward to school every morning.

I enjoy sending my son to Eshkol Valley Sengkang Pearl. Each time I drop him off at school, it warms my heart to see how genuinely happy his teachers are to see him. Evan truly enjoys school and i can tell that by how happy he is at the end of each school day, and all the stories he shares with me at home about what he does and learns at school.I still remember there was once Evan was hospitalized last year and Evan's teachers specially made a quick visit at hospital while the kids were napping, and they even brought him toys! I was very touched by their concern, effort and thoughtfulness. Not only do the teachers and principal at Eshkol Valley feel warm and genuine, they're also very prompt, responsive, well organized and receptive to feedback.
